I’m Endorsing Barbara Holt Streeter for County Council District 6

I am so proud to officially endorse my good friend Barbara Holt Streeter for County Council District 6. Barbara is a tremendous leader and a person of great character, who cares deeply about the residents of this community, which she has called home for over 50 years.

Barbara was dedicated to serving the residents of District 6 and Prince George’s County long before she made the decision to run for office. She started an organization of women with the mission to provide for our community members in need. Through that organization, she provided coats for our children, and raised donations to support services for seniors and domestic violence survivors.

Barbara’s work in our public school system has also enriched the lives of our children and families. When the pandemic forced schools to close, she coordinated grab and go groceries for our children who were on free and reduced lunch and depended on the meals they received at school. She also coordinated PGCPS’s involvement with College Track at the Durant Center, which provides wraparound services to our youth ensuring they successfully make it through high school, to college, and beyond.

Countless times, she has answered the call of concerned neighbors and brought issues to my office so that we could work collaboratively to seek solutions. Barbara Holt Streeter is someone with a track record of success, delivering results for the residents of District 6 and all Prince Georgians, and I know she will serve this community well as your next County Council Member. I am asking you to join me in voting for Barbara during early voting, or on Election Day on July 19.
