My 2022 Primary Endorsements
The Primary Election is less than three weeks away, and with plenty of open seats at the State and County level, we have the opportunity this cycle to select some amazing leaders. In fact, all three elected statewide offices have open seats this election cycle.
There are many qualified candidates running and I have decided to endorse several individuals in state and local races who I believe have the character and vision to lead, and who I think will make outstanding partners in serving Prince Georgians.
While I respect everyone’s right to support candidates of their choice, my image is being used on various mail pieces without my permission to confuse voters, and I want my supporters to know exactly where I stand with my endorsements.
I have had the privilege to watch Wes Moore connect with people and bring them together for a common cause. It is clear that he has the vision, integrity, and ability to move our State forward and deliver for families in Prince George’s County and across Maryland. His running mate, Aruna Miller, is an accomplished former State Delegate who will make a strong governing partner.
Congressman Anthony Brown is a committed public servant who has the experience necessary to serve our families and communities well as we address challenges around environmental, economic, and criminal justice issues. He is a man of integrity and I know that he will always act in the best interest of Marylanders.
Delegate Brooke Lierman has a strong, comprehensive plan not just for the State of Maryland, but for Prince George’s County in particular. Her years of effective public service as a State Delegate, coupled with her significant career as a civil rights attorney, show that she can deliver results for all Marylanders as Comptroller.
This year, we have an opportunity to elect excellent leaders up and down the ballot. I’m excited to support the candidates listed above because I believe they have the character and the vision to lead all Prince Georgians and Marylanders.
I hope you join me in supporting them, too, so we can build an even stronger Prince George’s and stronger Maryland.
Yours in service, Angela Alsobrooks
