Native American Heritage Month
Every year during the month of November, the nation joins together to honor and celebrate the rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories of Native Americans and Indigenous peoples, as well as to acknowledge their significant contributions and achievements to our history, society, and culture. We are so proud of the rich culture and diversity of our County, and we are excited to take this opportunity to officially declare November 2022 as Native American Heritage Month in Prince George’s County. Throughout the month, Prince George’s County will host celebrations and events in recognition of Native American Heritage Month.
In honor of Native American Heritage Month, the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System and the Prince George’s County Office of Human Rights will host Cassidy Caron, President of the Métis National Council, in conversation on November 14th from 7:00 to 8:00pm. This is a virtual event. Find more information HERE.
