Working Together to Prevent Violence
Reducing violence and keeping residents safe in Prince George’s County is critical. The Violence Prevention Task Force will locate areas of concern in the County and formulate strategies for resource sharing between nonprofits and stakeholders, while also creating both short and long-term plans for violence prevention.
“The Hope Collective,” a group of nonprofits that have received grant funding from our Hope in Action Anti-Violence Project, will be providing school and community based wraparound services in locations where violent crime is prevalent. Benefits include youth mentoring, employment assistance, after-school activities, and diversion/re-entry services.
